No more McDreamy

Well, tonight is Thursday and by now I would be rushing to get the kids to baths and bed so I could settle on the couch to watch "Greys Anatomy" at 9:00. Of course no one hardly ever actually goes to bed or lets me sit thru the whole show without wanting a drink,food,something that they can't find or just generally wallowing all over me. This whole time I'm straining my almost middle aged ears to hear what Meredith is whining about this week and hoping to at least get the gist of what might be going on at that hot-bed of lust hospital.

Alas.................not tonight. My fave show is gone till the fall and so now I must be satisfied with all the reruns of other shows that I gave up to watch Greys. CSI is a possibility.
You wait,now that they know I have nothing to watch they'll all be tucked in bed by 9:00 and won't show their cute little faces till morning. I can dream right!!!???

They ran from the garlic

Update on our "garlic broccoli pasta bake" dinner night before last...............

I took the pasta out,took the broccoli out,then brought out the big garlic bulbs and they went scurrying with the noses in the air yelling"EWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!"

I don't get it,I'm a garlic FIEND,I would eat it straight if I could,and my kids will not go near the stuff.Of course they have no idea that I put it in just about every thing I cook for them.

Well,I guess that will be our little secret.;o)

I pulled out out the old trusty chicken noodle casserole recipe and they gobbled it up like there was no tomorrow.(see above pic,it's not really MINE but it looks good) I have no clue what the big draw to this stuff is but it's always a winner. Of course I snuck in some garlic powder when they weren't looking!HEE HEE,bad momma!!!!

Chicken Noodle Casserole

From Quick Cooking

1 can (10-3/4 ounces) condensed cream of shroom soup, undiluted
1/2 sour cream
2 tablespoons lemon juice
2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 cup chopped sweet red pepper
1 cup (4 ounces) velveeta cheese, divided
1 cup (4 ounces) shredded sharp cheddar cheese, divided
12 ounces medium egg noodles, cooked and drained
I also add seasoned bread crumbs to the top

Pink Peonies

Ok,these are by far my fave flower in the whole wide world next to pink roses.

I planted several peony plants (bushes?) years ago and every year around now they erupt into these huge lush sweet smelling blooms. I'm by no stretch of the imagination a gardener so I'm verrrry proud of theses!

mmmmmmmmmmmm,I wish you could smell them.

I stink

I posted this on my pregnancy/mommy board but thought it worth posting again.
Gotta love the innocent honesty of your kids.

Ok,I'm up in the bathroom getting ready and my 3yr old son is looking at my perfume bottles.He says"Why do you have so much perfume?"My 4 yr old daughter Meghan pipes up with"cause momma stinks Justin"

I found this quite amusing and humiliating at the same time.


Well,I've been cooking alot the last couple weeks.I always cook when Im stressed or upset so needless to say my oven has been in high gear lately.
I'ts very difficult to cook one thing for dinner and all 9 people in this house will eat it or even TASTE it for that matter.
I slaved over home made lasagna last night and as I watched my oldest daughter dump her portion in the trash with a disgusted look on her face it was all I could do to not get up and slap her.Just kidding,I wouldn't do that but it crossed my mind.
Yep,they are spoiled rotten kids who think the best things in life come from a drive thru or a pizza delivery car.
I'm gonna fix this.

Ok,bear with me while I get my groove on with this blogging.

I don't know if I can actually write down(type?) all the nutty stuff that goes on in my head daily but I'm going to give it a go.

In the past I've found journals and such to be very theraputic and generally just neat to go back and read,so this is the main reason I'm doing it,so here goes.
